Janet, Cindy, and Michelle are the owners and creators of good to be home.
They have been friends for many years. Once their three creative minds came together, the shop was a natural way for them to strengthen their friendship and share their love of thrifting, painting furniture, and reimagining their favorite finds.
What started as a lofty dream to own their own vintage home decor store, became reality when they saw the potential in the small out of the way space in downtown Ashland. They realized good to be home. was just what Ashland needed--a vintage shop with home decor and clothing that would change with the seasons. After months of construction help from their husbands, the shop was complete with new flooring, lighting, refinished furniture, and filled with hand-picked goods. Their vision came to life and they officially opened the doors to the shop on October 11th, 2024. Since then, they have enjoyed being a part of the Metrowest small business community, participating in events like Mass Vintage Day, hosting tent sales for their older merchandise, and encouraging shopping small and local.
When you visit the shop, you will walk into an inviting, charming space with a mix of home decor, clothing, and accessories. The shop is a beautiful collection of pieces with history and personality, a blend of eclectic, classic, and traditional mixed with vintage styles. Change is constant with new pieces coming and going every week.
No matter your personal taste, they hope you'll discover something you truly love and be inspired each time you visit.
